Charles Rogers Arrested in Jail

The Detroit Lions former player Charles Rogers is Arrested and sentenced to Jail for 93 days for contempt of court stemming from an impaired driving case. Charles Rogers passed out by a Mexican restaurant where he was arrested. Rogers broke a sobriety court order after pleading guilty back in Septemeber to an impaired driving charge. Rogers is just 28 years old and was drafted back in 2003 as the #2 overall draft pick out of Michigan State.

You could tell that Charles Rogers was drunk Tuesday night by looking a him so he was taken to a hospital because he could not handle his alcohol. Rogers spent all of Tuesday night in custody and the Judge Robert Bondy handed him the 93 day jail sentence Wednesday morning. I guess Charles Rogers didn’t read our Jayson Williams article yesterday who also had a run in with the law because of alcohol abuse.
