Jim Mora Fired by Seahawks – USC Pete Carroll likely Hired

The Seattle Seahawks fired Jim Mora Friday January 8th after the team went just 5-11 this season. The Seahawks team was plagued by numerous injuries throughout the NFL season but they still were not competitive enough ending the season with 4 straight losses. Jim Mora is just the 3rd coach fired this season although the Chicago Bears fans wanted Lovie Smith gone the Seahawk Owner got his wish with the firing of Mora. USC coach Pete Carroll is a candidate to fill Mora’s shoes but I personally think he would not have as much success in the NFL like he has had at the college rank. Money is definitely not an issue with Allen which is a good thing for the Seahawk fans because he obviously wants a team that will contend. At the start of the 2009-10 season many experts had Seattle winning the NFC West but they finished second last ahead of the 1-15 St Louis Rams. Jim Mora had to be fired because the blame had to go somewhere for the 5-11 season.
