Week 6 NFL Football Picks Preview

Week 6 NFL Football Picks Preview

The sixth week of the NFL season is here and this one should be just as exciting as the first five. If you’re looking for NFL football picks, then check out this Week 6 preview for what to expect in the games.

Kansas City vs. Washington (Washington -6.5). The Washington Redskins will become the first team in NFL history to play a winless team for the first six weeks of the season. Their schedule couldn’t have been any easier and they still only won two games. The Chiefs are coming off of a heartbreaking overtime loss to the Cowboys. This one will see two bad teams battle until the end. It should be a close game in Washington.

Houston vs. Cincinnati (Cincinnati -4.5). Carson Palmer is officially back after beating the Baltimore Ravens on a last second drive last weekend. They have managed to beat every team in the division once already and they face the high-flying Houston Texans offense this weekend. This could turn into a shootout if both offenses play up to their potential.

Cleveland vs. Pittsburgh (Pittsburgh -14). This is one of the most lopsided games of the week as the hapless Browns go into Pittsburgh. The Steelers are heavy favorites and they have every right to be. The Browns came off of an amazing 6-3 victory over the Bills last week and are riding high. This one will probably be one of the least entertaining games of the week.

Baltimore vs. Minnesota (Minnesota -3). This could be the best game of the week between two very good teams. The Brett Favre train keeps rolling along undefeated, but they have not played a defense as good as the Ravens yet. Adrian Peterson will have a tough day against the Ravens defense. Expect this one to go down to the final drive.

St. Louis vs. Jacksonville (Jacksonville -10). Anytime you get blown out by 40 points in one week and come in as 10 point favorites the next week, you know things are not going good for the opposite team. The Rams could be the most hapless team in professional football right now. The Jaguars are the better team, but anything can happen on Sundays.

New York Giants vs. New Orleans (New Orleans -3). Besides the Minnesota and Baltimore game, this is the other game that could be the game of the week. Two undefeated teams face off in this one with both of them being very talented. The question will be which defense can stop the other one. The Saints defense has been great this season, but they have not faced as good of a team as the Giants yet. Expect a classic battle in this one.

Carolina vs. Tampa Bay (Carolina -3). This game is between two very bad teams. The Panthers are only 3 point favorites to a team that has not won a game or even played a good game yet. That is not a good sign for Carolina and you know how bad the Bucs are. You should probably stay away from watching this game unless you happen to be a fan of either team.

Detroit vs. Green Bay (Green Bay -13.5). The Packers are big favorites in this one and they rightfully should be. They have played well up until this week and there is no reason to think they won’t against Detroit. There is also a question as to how effective Matt Stafford and Calvin Johnson will be in this one due to injuries.

Philadelphia vs. Oakland (Philadelphia -14). The Raiders are coming off of one of the most lopsided losses of the season last week and now they get the high-powered Eagles attack. The Eagles can make bad teams look terrible with their unconventional blitz packages and this week should be no different. As if McNabb didn’t have enough weapons already, last week their first round pick at wide receiver, Jeremy Maclin, exploded for 140 yards and two touchdowns. Look out Oakland.

Arizona vs. Seattle (Seattle -3). The Seahawks are playing much improved football now and they get a team that has been struggling a bit. The Cardinals have a great passing game, but they can’t seem to get it all together this year. This should be a good battle between two NFC West teams.

Buffalo vs. New York (New York -9.5). The Jets magical run has taken a bit of a hit the last few weeks, but that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be able to handle the Bills. The Bills actually lost to the Cleveland Browns last week if that tells you how bad things are. T.O. has done absolutely nothing this season and there is no reason to believe he breaks out against the Jets defense.

Tennessee vs. New England (New England -9). If someone told you at the beginning of the year that the Titans would be 0-5 after going 13-3 last season, you would not have believed them. However, that is exactly where they sit now. Their reward for that record? A game against the perennially tough New England Patriots. Things are not looking good in the Music City.

Chicago vs. Atlanta (Atlanta -3.5). This should be a pretty entertaining game between two talented NFC teams. The Bears are improving with Cutler at quarterback and running back Matt Forte went off in his last game. For the Falcons, Tony G. is still a huge threat as is Roddy White. This will be a good quarterback battle between Ryan and Cutler.

Denver vs. San Diego (-3.5). If you want to know what the oddsmakers think of the Denver Broncos undefeated record, look no further than this weekends line. Has a 5-0 team ever been the underdog in their week six matchup? Has a team as untalented as the Broncos ever been 5-0? Probably not. This one should be a close game in San Diego on Monday Night Football.

Expect a lot of action and upsets as always in Week 6. If you want the scoop and free NFL picks, check with Vernon Croy for all of this week’s “can’t miss games”. Enjoy Week 6!
