Bodog Brands In Agreement With IOC For Integrity Of Vancouver 2010 Olympics
The two licensees of the Bodog Brand that are accepting wagers on the Vancouver 2010
Olympics have reacted to a request from the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to safeguard the integrity of the 2010 Winter Olympics and report any suspicious betting activity.
In a letter from Alwyn Morris, a gold medallist himself in the Summer Olympics of 1984, and CEO of the Morris Mohawk Gaming Group (MMGG) who operate Bodog.com, to the IOC, he confirmed; “MMGG understand and support the IOC position and are keen to assist. To this end we will amend our Terms and Conditions to enable us to communicate any irregular gaming activity relating to the Olympics from Bodog.com and will pass on details of activity deemed to be irregular.”
Bodog Europe, the licensee who operates Bodog.co.uk and Bodog.ca, regulated and licensed by the gaming board of the UK Government-approved jurisdiction of Antigua, have also offered similar sentiments to the IOC.
Keith McDonnell, Managing Director of Bodog Europe, stated; “Bodog Europe is absolutely committed to ensuring that any irregular betting patterns are identified quickly and communicated to appropriate bodies, not just for the Winter Olympics, but for any sport upon which Bodog Europe accepts wagers.”
