Sachin Tendulkar has broken the cricket score record held by Charles Coventry and Saeed Anwar, who both held the record of 194 highest one day individual score in cricket, by scoring 200 runs from 147 balls and scored over half of the Indian total by providing 25 fours and 3 sixes all from 147 balls. This is the highest one day score in cricket. This all happened during the second match against South Africa on Wednesday.
The record breaking highest score in ODI play did not stop with this as it was his 411th appearance by a batsman in ODI play. Tendulkar also holds the record for achieving the one day individual score and the highest one day score by a batsman. His double hundred is the first ever in the over forty year history of the one day tournament play. Sachin did all of this with complete mastery of the bat. He was calm, steady and kept his swing simple, which what he is known for.
