Tiger Woods Has Returned Home
It has been reported that Tiger Woods has returned home after spending a week in Arizona for family counseling and is planning to begin getting into shape and focusing on his golf game. He arrived back in Orlando on Saturday and has hit the golf range near his home. There is no word yet on when he is planning on returning to the PGA tour. He has not had any real golf practice since the Thanksgiving weekend events that have brought to light his affairs and subsequent rehab stay.
His arrival at the golf range has set off a new round of rumors as to when he will be returning to the PGA tour. He originally stated on December 4 that he would be taking an unspecified amount of time off from the tour in order to try to work on his marriage and focus on his family. It is stated from an unidentified source that he and his wife Elin spent the past week in Arizona for family counseling. It is very unlikely that he will be playing in the World Golf Championship in Doral, that will be held next week and which he has won three times. The next tour event that he may play in is the Arnold Palmer Invitational, which is held at Bay Hill. He has won this event six times and is the current defending winner. Shortly thereafter is the Masters, and so far no one has been able to confirm whether or not Tiger Woods will be entering that competition.
In his February 19th, address, he did hint to the fact that he may return to the tour this year but was still undecided which event he would participate in. It will be interesting to see who will be sponsoring Woods when he returns, as he has lost three of his major sponsors, including Gatorade, AT&T and Accenture, with other sponsors on hold until a decision is made about his return. As Tiger Woods has returned home, there will sure to be much more speculation regarding his return to the PGA tour.
