The NCAA March Madness Brackets 2010 are starting to shape up. With the number one Syracuse team clinching the Big East title when they beat St. John’s 85-66. They will finish up their season is coming Saturday against Louisville, in hopes of finishing the season with only two losses. Currently ranked number six, Ohio State was able to win over Illinois with 21 points from Jon Diebler and assuring Ohio State, part of the Big Ten Title.
Many eyes will be on tonight’s game between Connecticut and Notre Dame. Notre Dame is looking to get a spot in the tournament and a win tonight would keep them on track after their surprising wins against Pittsburgh and Georgetown. They did this with the loss of Harangody, which was one of the nation’s leading scorers, averaging 24.1 points per game. And of course, tonight, we also see Kansas and Kansas State go head-to-head. Kansas is currently ranked second while Kansas State is in fifth place according to the AP rankings, and it will be the first time these two teams have met while being in the top five since 1958. Kansas is looking to get their Big 12 Title after their loss to Oklahoma State when they could have clinched it with a win. Kansas State has a slight chance of getting the Title, but it would require a win tonight, as well as beating Iowa State. It would also take Kansas losing to Missouri. There is bound to be some big disappointments when the final NCAA March Madness Brackets for 2010 are posted.
The rest of the games this week as well as tonight’s games will determine some of the final teams into the March Madness brackets. Virginia Tech has an extremely important game tonight against North Carolina State in order for them to make the final placement. Tonight through the weekend, we will see who will actually make it and who will be some of the first ones out. Notre Dame, Dayton, Rhode Island, and Ole Miss all need to post wins in games that will determine if they will be a part of the NCAA March Madness as the 2010 March Madness Brackets are starting to shape up.
