Ben Roethlisberger Accused in Sexual Assault
Ben Roethlisberger is being investigated, based on an allegation from a 20 year old Georgia woman. The police investigating the incident said that the alleged assault happened some time in the early hours of Friday. The Pittsburgh Steeler quarterback had been out with some friends to area bars, and the police state that the incident occurred at a bar in Milledgeville, Georgia.
The deputy police chief stated that Ben Roethlisberger and several of his friends had met up with some women and that they were mingling throughout the night. The alleged victim and her friends reported the incident to a police officer that was in the vicinity. Both the alleged victim and Roethlisberger have been interviewed and have given statements to the police. Ryan Tollner, his agent, stated that they’ve been in contact with local authorities and said that an allegation was made but no charges have been filed and it looks as though the allegations will be dismissed. The agent also alluded to the fact that the motive behind the accusation is somewhat questionable.
Two years ago, a woman pressed charges against Ben Roethlisberger, that he had raped her at a Lake Tahoe hotel. The two-time Super Bowl champion has denied these charges from the beginning and the case was dismissed. The woman who filed the charges did file a civil suit against him, which is still pending. The Steeler quarterback has counter sued for damages, and that case is pending as well. The Pittsburgh Steelers have released a brief statement saying that they are looking into the matter and have no additional comments at this time. Hopefully Ben Roethlisberger being Accused in a Sexual Assault will end up not being true.
