The Big Ten tournament 2010 today brings us the first time that we will see the top five seeded teams play. Some of the teams are trying to improve their seating in the NCAA tournament, while others may be on the fringe. Today the top seed Ohio State took on Michigan. This long-time rivalry played an exciting game and it came down to the last 2 seconds with Ohio State having the ball and needing a three pointer to win the game. Ohio State pulled it out on the 3 point shot by Evan Turner.
Wisconsin and Illinois played today in another exciting game of the Big Ten Tournament 2010. Illinois pulled out a win, and they will probably make it into the NCAA tournament. Illinois beat Wisconsin by a score 58-54 and will go on to play Ohio State. Wisconsin was looking to improve their position by obtaining a better seed. Purdue will be playing Northwestern, and Michigan State will be taking on Minnesota.
Both Northwestern and Minnesota are looking to upset the teams that they are playing this evening in order to have a shot at the tournament title. It still remains to be seen whether either team can make a run at a bubble shot in the NCAA tournament. The Big Ten tournament 2010 will continue on Saturday with the semi finals. The championship game being played on Sunday. This tournament has been exciting to watch and the rest of the games should provide the same excitement.
