ACC Tournament 2010 Results
The ACC Tournament 2010 results from the quarterfinals are in. One of the most closely watched games was Duke playing against Virginia. Virginia, which was the ninth seed coming into the tournament was able to give Duke a run for their money. Virginia was tied at halftime, and only trailed by two with six minutes remaining in the game. Duke was able to go on to win the game by a score of 57-46. There were a few games during the quarterfinals that are somewhat of upsets.
The ACC Tournament 2010 results of the Maryland and Georgia Tech game were somewhat surprising. The heavily favored Maryland team that many thought would go to the finals lost to Georgia Tech by a score of 69-64. North Carolina State was able to beat Florida State by six points with the score of 58-52. The other surprising game of the day was Miami beating Virginia Tech with the final score being 70-65. This puts Duke playing against Miami in one semi final and North Carolina State playing Georgia Tech in the other.
With the different twists and turns of the ACC Tournament 2010 results, we may see a surpirse team in the final on Sunday. The ACC may have produced some of the most interesting upsets of all of the tournaments so far. Maryland was most certainly expected to win as they were the second seed and Georgia Tech was the 12th seed. It was not expected that Miami would beat Virginia Tech. So far, it seems as though Duke has been the only team that has been meeting the expectations that have been set for them. Now they may find themselves in position for a top spot in the upcoming NCAA tournament.
