Over 50,000 people attended the boxing match of Manny Pacquiao vs. Joshua Clottey, last night in Dallas, Texas. The event was held at the brand-new Cowboys stadium, and the attendance was one of the largest since the early 1990s. The international boxing sensation from the Philippines did not seem to have much trouble with his challenger. It seems as though Clottey was extremely hesitant in his approach to the match.
The final decision of the boxing match of Manny Pacquiao vs. Joshua Clottey made Pacquiano, the undisputed winner with the scores of 120-108, 119-109 and 119-109. The challenger did not seem to be very aggressive and seemed to be waiting for an opening, which he never got. One person said that it looked much like a sparring round during a training match, as opposed to a title fight. Pacquiano almost looked like he was toying with the challenger and it was not until round two when he began to display his incredible reflexes and speed.
The match between Manny Pacquiao vs. Joshua Clottey did not really get exciting until round 10 when the challenger was able to land four punches in a row. Many consider that this was a lackluster match for the champ. He certainly dominated his challenger throughout the entire match, and the outcome was certainly not unexpected. In the matches prior to the main event, lightweight boxer, Humberto Soto defeated David Diaz to become the WBC lightweight champion. John Duddy won a split decision over Michael Medina in the middleweight fight.
