Tiger Woods has returned to the golf course and one of the many things on his mind is being able to win the 2010 Masters. He has been away from golf since his Thanksgiving weekend car accident which in turn brought to light his extramarital affairs. This supposedly led to Tiger Woods going to a rehab for sex addiction. The long-awaited comeback for Tiger has started with his arrival at Augusta on Monday. In a recent interview on ESPN he said he was most nervous about how the fans would treat him. So far a fan did yell out to him welcome back. The golfer who would normally ignore such an outburst turned around waved and smiled at the person that had yelled out. Tiger Woods then had to face the media and this would be the first time he has done this when it has not been on his terms. When asked about details of his life it seemed that he answered with responses that had been prepared. The media did ask about his therapy and other aspects of his life such as his marriage, the only comment that he made was that his wife would not be at Augusta this week. He did give a 35-minute press conference and tried to make himself a bit more assessable to the media. He said he wanted to become a much better person and he is doing everything that he can, including continuing with his therapy.

He took ownership of his actions and hopes that he can begin to move forward. Woods has lost most of his major sponsors and endorsements due to his personal misconducts. Woods is looking to break the record held by Jack Nicholas in breaking the 18 professional major wins. He did participate in a practice round and the crowd seemed to be relatively supportive. Wood’s said he was ready to play and will be focused on winning the event.
