Masters Leaderboard Update: Tiger Woods Plays in his Traditional Sunday Red

Even with the scandal looming just behind him, some things just never change. And for Tiger, hitting the course on Sunday meant a red shirt. Typically that’s always been Tiger’s routine and a little scandal wouldn’t stop a prominent and popular golfer like Tiger from going forth with what has become the Tiger Talk of Round 4 in every tournament. As the golfers head for the tee for the final day of golfing, Tiger Woods takes to the Masters Leaderboard update 2010 seeking his fifth championship in this year’s first major event.

As most all golf fans know, this is the first public golf appearance that Woods has made since his Thanksgiving debacle that rocked the golf world entirely.  Now, he is rocking the golf fans in a completely different fashion. He shot a personal best for the Masters Leaderboard 2010 in round one and then again on Saturday he worked a round of 2-under-par for a three round total of 208. As the course warms up today, Woods and course mate KJ Choi are tied for third with a fifty-year-old Fred Couples on their heels.

In the wake of big names like Lee Westerwood, Fred Couples, Phil Mickleson and Tiger Woods, it was Nathan Green of Australia who had a hole in one on the par-3 16th hole. Woods, still ranked the number one golfer in the world has hit the course at Augusta for his first official tournament since he had trouble late last year with family matters. His last win was at the Australian masters in Melbourne in November was overshadowed by his family problems. As mentioned earlier, Woods wears a red shirt for the final round of tournaments and when one red shirt as been as good to him as it has, who can blame him. Tiger Woods is currently at -9 under par after 10 holes on the Masters Leaderboard update.
