Pittsburgh Steelers’ Ben Roethlisberger is just one more professional athlete with trouble trailing behind him. Today, in a Georgia court, the district attorney announced that charges will not be filed against Roethlisberger. The possible charges did stem from an alleged sexual assault last month in a Milledgeville nightclub. According to District Attorney Fred Bright, the reports have been reviewed involving the complaint made by a twenty-year-old Georgia College & State University student.

In this particular incident, investigators started reviewing videos from the Milledgeville nightclubs that the Pittsburgh Steelers Ben Roethlisberger had visited on the night the allegations were made. In addition to that, Roethlisberger’s lawyer has disputed the assault claims and hired a team to investigate this matter on the football player’s behalf. Roethlisberger remains steady in his statements that he did not have sexual intercourse with the woman who made the accusations. Apparently he admitted to having sexual contact but that it was not consummated.

According to the Pittsburgh Steelers Ben Roethlisberger, the woman slipped and fell and injured her head. The police spokesperson for Milledgeville has declined to comment on the case and will not even verify if the police have interviewed Roethlisberger. In addition to that, Roethlisberger’s own lawyers were not available for comment either. Thus as Roethlisberger awaited the decision, so did the reporters with pen and paper in hand.
