2010 NFL Draft Results: Jason Campbell and the Oakland Raiders
The 2010 NFL Draft results have rendered very little unexpected excitement. Indeed, watching Tim Tebow and other collegiate athletes field calls announcing their future is fun, but thus far, the surprises have been minimal. And, probably not necessarily a surprise but definitely a hot topic of conversation everywhere will be Jason Campbell. The Raiders made it clear who they wanted and what they would do to make it happen.
Watching the 2010 NFL Draft results include Jason Campbell, the former Washington Redskins quarter back. The deal looks like $3.14 million in salary and a $100,000 workout bonus for this year. In addition he will receive a one year contract extension that will bring him $4.5 million. And then, in 2012, the Raiders will be giving the Redskins a fourth-round-pick.
The Raiders need to make-up ground after benching last year’s number-one overall pick in JaMarcus Russell. Jason Campbell started 52 games for Washington, threw 55 touchdowns and 38 interceptions. The 2010 NFL Draft results include the trade for Donovan McNabb. Surely, Jason Campbell knew then he was going to be on the move.
