Bret Michaels Condition
Rock Star Bret Michaels condition is reported as critical after he suffered a brain hemorrhage on April 22nd. He is in ICU under constant doctor supervision at an undisclosed hospital. He was diagnosed with a subarachnoid hemorrhage, otherwise known as bleeding at the base of the brain. Doctors’ are currently trying to determine exactly where the bleeding is coming from.
Bret Michaels condition is hampered by the fact that he is a type 1 diabetic. A disease he was diagnosed with as a young boy. Earlier this month Michaels revealed that he had an emergency appendectomy while out on tour getting ready to perform at SeaWorld San Antonio. He reported that doctors expected a full recovery from that surgery.
A post on BretMichaels.com states that further testing will be done this week, and a doctor’s report on Bret Michaels condition will be posted when it becomes available. His site also states that Bret is a fighter and thanks everyone for their support. He is currently a contestant on NBC’s Celebrity Apprentice in which his team Rock Solid lost last nights challenge, however no one was eliminated. After last nights episode NBC released a short statement “wishing Bret a speedy recovery”.
