NFL News: Adalius Thomas

General Managers, coaches, players and share holders alike all have a vested interest in each and every player in whatever league they represent. For instance, when Adalius Thomas and Bill Belichick lost their working relationship, the Patriots released him. That’s one way to lose your job. Not just any job either, but one that pays big digits.

And without batting an eye, the Jets looked around to see if someone else had placed a hand on Adalius Thomas.  Thus far, it appears that even with an enormous amount of off-season moving going on between players and teams, trying to find out the details just simply isn’t as easy as it seems. Thomas’ contract with the Patriots in 2007 for $35 million. But, after arriving late for a team meeting due to a snowstorm, Adalius Thomas was sent home.

As an employee, being late for work usually isn’t tolerated as a habitual behavior. When you make the kind of money Adalius Thomas makes, it seems you should be prepared to try and work some magic on the weather too. Ask the folks in Talladega this past weekend and you’ll surely get massive stories of plans gone bad due to the skies. Now it seems that Thomas may get a chance to reunite with some old buddies with the Jets.
