Small events start early in the week and lead up to the grand finale on Saturday evening. When looking through the events of the week, even the most amateur racing fans like to choose a favorite. Find a list of the Kentucky Derby contenders and then choose a favorite, Setsuko or Discreetly Mine sound intriguing enough to go do some research.
By Friday, the horses are set for the Kentucky Oaks and the pre-race events are in full force. Go ahead and dig out your favorite race-track gear and get moving.
