With all the great sporting events going on, the one that has stood out the most the last few days is one of tragedy. Really, when a college athlete murders or is even suspected of murdering another student or student/athlete, as a society, we must shutter. Yeardly Love and her boyfriend played lacrosse for the University of Virginia.  Now the highlight is the UVA Lacrosse death.

Now neither of them will be on the field for UVA. Well, one of them won’t because she lost her life, the other one shouldn’t, because he is being charged with taking it. George Huguely, a mere 22 years old has been charged in the murder of his girlfriend and fellow athlete. And yet again, the world of sports is left to mourn; this time a Virginia lacrosse death is the object of attention.

Yeardly Love was found dead in an apartment and reportedly sustained physical trauma, although the original reports didn’t indicate how she died. This Virginia lacrosse death is rocking collegiate world yet again. Sadly a young girl has lost her life and a fellow classmate and athlete has been charged with her death. Once again, the world of sports stands still.
