Lebron James is a Cleveland Cavalier, not a member of the New York Knicks. However, as of July 1, 2010, Lebron will be an unrestricted free agent. And, that’s when teams like the Knicks may attempt to make moves to get him. Could the new headlines read Lebron James Knicks instead of what fans have grown accustom to seeing thus far?

Absolutely, the two time defending NBA Most Valuable Player could be picking up and moving. Chances are, he will most definitely be moving, but how likely is it that anyone will want to buy a Lebon James Knicks jersey? Right now James is at home and most likely, he likes it that way. A graduate of St. Vincent/St. Mary High School in Akron and now wearing a Cavalier uniform, James has to fond of his present situation.

As a Cavalier, Lebron has secured the NBA Rookie of the Year award, the two MVP awards, and he has average 27 points a game. This isn’t Michael Jordan we are talking about here, but James is getting darn near pretty close. As a Cavalier, James also achieved the accolade of the youngest player in the NBA to have accumulated 12,000 points. Just as we would never have even dreamed Jordan would go to the Knicks, it’s a big question whether we will ever see a Lebron James Knicks uniform too.
