Virginia Tech vs East Carolina Football Picks Preview
Virginia Tech vs. East Carolina Football Picks Preview by Vernon Croy
The Virginia Tech Hokies travel to East Carolina this week for a Thursday night football showdown. The Hokies are still ranked #22 despite suffering their third loss of the season last week at the hands of North Carolina. The Hokies come in at 5-3 while the Pirates come in with the same record. As far as free football predictions go although the Hokies come in as 13 point favorites, the Pirates should provide some good competition for them.

Virginia Tech Hokies Vs East Carolina Pirates
Fresh off a disappointing loss like the Hokies suffered the last two weeks, you can be assured that they will be looking to bounce back. As if the two recent losses weren’t enough motivation, they are also still upset about last season. Last year, the Pirates upset them and helped to ruin their season. The loss will be fresh on their minds this Thursday night. The Hokies are led by quarterback Tyrod Taylor. His unique skill set allows him to scramble and pass the ball effectively. They are also hoping that running back Ryan Williams bounces back after fumbling during a critical possession last week.
For the ECU Pirates, coach Skip Holtz feels good about the way his team play in big games. They beat the Virginia Tech Hokies last season and there is no reason to believe that they can’t do it again. After their storybook season last year, they have struggled a little bit this year, with three losses already under their belt. If your looking for free college football picks with that being said, they are still a tough team and they will provide a tough game for the Hokies this week. Expect this one to be a close game that comes down to the final quarter to be decided.
