Eldora Speedway: Prelude to the Dream 2010
Eldora Speedway: Prelude to the Dream 2010
The Eldora Speedway will be full of race cars and drivers tonight. And, the drivers are headed on the track to make a run for four different charities. The Prelude to the Dream 2010, allows fans to watch NASCAR racers, IndyCar racers, drag racers, action sport racers and those who make their way around the track via motorcycles team up and go at one another. The project kicked off in 2004 after Tony Stewart bought the Eldora track.
The Prelude to the Dream 2010 can be seen tonight on Pay-Per-View and will take on a different look. With the four charities in place, the drivers will be divided into four teams and the team accumulating the most points will get the largest portion for the charity they are racing for. Depending on the number of points, the charities will receive a portion of the donations. So, there will still be a champion driver/team but the real winners are the charities.
If you are in the Eldora Speedway area and want to take in a great night of racing with big names, you need to move fast as the tickets for the Prelude to the Dream 2010 are almost gone. The winning team will get 45% of the revenue that comes in via television for this race. The second ranked team gets 25 percent and the third and fourth teams get 15%. Each team represents one of the following charities, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, Levine Hospital for Children, Riley Hospital for Children and the St. Jude Childebert Research Hospital.
