Cameroon: World Cup Results Japan wins 1-0
The World Cup is reeling with excitement. Already today’s games are underway in South Africa and for now, Japan took a 1-0 victory over Cameroon. Soccer scores are never terribly high and at the level of play that the guys in the World Cup are participating, a 1-0 victory is definitely a great reason to cheer. As for Japan, they looked pretty good behind the play of Keisuke Honda.
This is the first World Cup finals victory for Japan on foreign soil. Honda made the goal to leave the score at 1-0 for Japan against Cameroon. Just 39 minutes in and Honda had the Cameroon defense on their toes. Actually, they appeared to be one step behind.
Japan has only won 2 other times in World Cup finals play and that was in 2002 when they served as joint hosts with South Korea. It may not seem like much but when a team like Japan has had relatively no success outside of their home, but a win against Cameroon is big. Sure, someone has to win and someone has to lose, but it is definitely not easy to pull a win out with the competition like Cameroon in the World Cup. You can catch every game via either large network coverage or various online sites.
