Scottish Open 2010: One More Chance for Phil Mickelson
Fresh out of the gates this season on the PGA Tour, almost every tournament has been prefaced with the note that if Phil Mickelson can win, he can take the number 1 slot from Tiger Woods. The Scottish Open 2010 opens up room for Mickelson to even finish second and take over the title. In addition to these two golfing greats, Graeme McDowell will be back on the Tour. Play for the Scottish Open takes play at the Loch Lomond course.
The course for the Scottish Open 2010 is approximately 660 acres of land and the sights are simply amazing. Although, most golfers probably never realize how beautiful the area around them is other than the spot for pin placement. The course offers streams, marshes, beautiful trees which lend to the beauty but also to the challenge. The tournament definitely isn’t short on big names and great golfers.
Lucas Glover, Fred Couples and John Daley are among just a few of the big PGA players headed into the Scottish Open 2010. Add in the likes of Phil Mickelson and this could be one heck of a tournament. For the first time this season, Phil Mickelson sounds extremely optimistic that this is the tournament that will put him back on top. He did take the time to examine his strategy and for Mickelson, he plans to increase his club head speed and hope he can get back in the game with some of the youngsters.
