Cleveland Plain Dealer: Lebron James is Gone

The Cavaliers organization, including Dan Gilbert, and the fans are acting childish. Regardless of the Cavaliers ability to believe that Lebron has done what was best for Lebron, the NBA is a business and Lebron has to tend to his career as a business. Did he deserve his own show to make the announcement?  Apparently he did and while some folks are calling the front page story in the Cleveland Plain Dealer a low blow, it sure seems a lot classier than Dan’s method.

If you have nothing but time on your hands, go see just how many NBA players actually have a ring on their finger symbolizing a win of the NBA Championship. The bare truth is that being ring-less is the norm, not the exception. Moreover, the fact that Lebron doesn’t have a ring didn’t need to be pointed out. The Cleveland Plain Dealer has been good to Lebron thus far and were on their way to saying goodbye with class.

Dan Gilbert hasn’t managed to handle any of this free agency with class. If he wonders why Lebron didn’t tell him before he made the announcement public, Dan only needs to read his own public letter to see that even Lebron knew he couldn’t handle the news. Cleveland fans need to get over the Lebron-Cleveland divorce and move on. Please allow the Cleveland Plain Dealer to continue to do their job with a positive spin without stooping to Dan’s level.
