UFC 117 Fight Video: Silva vs Sonnen

For several weeks, maybe even months, Chael Sonnen has continued to talk about his fight plan and his reuniting with Silva in the ring. Repeatedly Silva let Sonnen ramble on like a small child never once giving him any respect for his words. The pre-fight weigh-in was much the same, Sonnen was mouthy and Silva was serious, never making eye contact with him. Sonnen never slowed down though and eventually had to take his mouth and his game into the ring. After looking over the UFC 117 Fight Video, Sonnen backed up his words dominating every round.

Sonnen did not look awful in the ring, every round he appeared to be in control of the fight and headed to a win. The first three rounds simply didn’t look good for Silva as Sonnen dominated. The UFC 117 Fight Video doesn’t show a Sonnen giving in to Silva, they both took their fight to the limit, Silva just managed to pull it out with a submission.

Silva definitely sits atop the fight world right now and has shown himself deserving of the high praise. Maybe next time Sonnen gets a chance at an opponent, he will be able to walk out victorious like he almost did in the UFC 177 Fight Video.
