Sunday night baseball on ESPN is a staple of the week in sports from early spring until late fall. As long as there are games underway, the biggest sports network in the world is sure to be covering a game on Sunday night. Normally the Sunday night game is one of the biggest on the schedule on that given day but tonight, the game will come as a bit of a surprise. ESPN went so far as to put out a formal announcement regarding their choice of game for tonight. At the time the decision was made, A-Rod was still in search of his 600th home run. Now, not only does he have that home run under his belt, he may not even be in the lineup due to an injury on Saturday during batting practice. Hopefully even if A-Rod isn’t in the game, someone will make the game completely noteworthy.
