Green Bay Packers Defense

The preseason games are definitely not what the real seasons are built on. The players who would normally play down after down were watching from the sidelines as the new guys try to earn a spot on the team by sporting their skills. Of course, that would require these newbies to have some skills to showcase for this to be considered helpful. When Green Bay and Seattle took to the field last night, the Green Bay Packers may have had a lot of rookies and non-starters on the field.

According to most analyst, no matter how much practice these new guys have been working to earn a spot on the roster, they apparently haven’t been working hard enough. The Cleveland Browns made the Packers defense look really bad last week so obviously they had to know adjustments were needed. But, when the defensive coordinator put together a group to go against Seattle, surely he knew something had to change. Instead of making changes, the Green Bay Packers were apparently content to keep looking over the rookie pool instead of showing off their defense.

The defense wasn’t the only bunch on the field that looked bad. The special teams for Green Bay looked even worse. Of course, Seattle played their starting offense for most of the game which certainly didn’t make the Packers look any better. The most important piece of information here is that Seattle is not near as good as they looked and the Green Bay Packers aren’t near as bad as they looked either.
