In week 8 of the 2012 NFL season, another exciting slate of games is coming in your direction, including a collection of divisional match-ups, as well as juicy showdowns between some of the top players and teams in the league right now. Here’s a rundown of what to expect with all of the week 8 NFL picks, predictions and odds.
At Minnesota -6.5 Tampa Bay – The Vikings look to continue their surprising first place run by hosting the struggling Buccaneers. Adrian Peterson, Percy Harvin and company are too much for Tampa Bay to contain. Take Minnesota to win.
New England -6.5 At St. Louis – The Rams have been playing everyone tough, but are starting to lose more of those games than not. Tom Brady and the Patriots are just getting started so far, take them to win the game on the road.
At Tennessee -3.5 Indianapolis – The Titans are finally getting some of the old Chris Johnson, and that’s a big boost. Will it be enough against rookie QB Andrew Luck and the Colts? Not this week, as the Colts pull off the upset.
At Green Bay -13 Jacksonville – The Packers are rounding into form, and the Jaguars are without Maurice Jones Drew. That’s not a pretty picture here, and Green Bay dominates the game.
San Diego -3 At Cleveland – The Chargers have had a week off to think about that terrible blown game against the Broncos. They take it out against the young, struggling Browns, and pick up the victory on the road.
At Philadelphia -2.5 Atlanta – Matt Ryan storms into Philadelphia and gets the better of former Falcons quarterback Michael Vick. Falcons pull off the upset.
At Detroit -3 Seattle – One of the closest games of the weekend as the Seahawks and the Lions meet in Detroit. Seattle looks stronger right now, take them in an upset win.
At NY Jets -2.5 Miami – The Jets head back home after a hard fought loss to New England. After playing well in a loss there, they suffer a letdown here and lose to Miami at home.
At Chicago -8 Carolina – The Bears are looking like a force to be reckoned with this season. Cam Newton and the struggling Panthers turn the ball over and fall right into the Bears plan. Chicago wins big at home.
At Pittsburgh -5 Washington – RGIII puts the struggling Steelers on upset watch as he leads the Redskins into town. Whether or not he grabs the victory, this one is kept close until the end.
At Kansas City -1.5 Oakland – In the least interesting game of the weekend, the Raiders pull of a divisional upset by taking out the Chiefs in Kansas City.
NY Giants -1 At Dallas – The Giants have been fantastic in Cowboys Stadium, and fantastic as of late. The G-Men win at Dallas.
At Denver -6 New Orleans – Manning vs. Brees on Sunday night. The Saints are just more desperate right now, and find a way to pull off the upset victory.
San Francisco -6.5 At Arizona – The Cardinals have been a surprising team this season, but the 49ers remind them of the division’s pecking order with a road win.
