Kentucky Derby Betting: Kentucky Derby 2010 Contenders

Race time is quickly approaching for the 136th Kentucky Derby. Horses running well coming into the big race tomorrow night are Lookin at Lucky with 3/1 odds, Sidney’s Candy with 5/1 odds and Devil May Care with 10/1 odds. But, as many horse fans know, running well today doesn’t necessary calculate into a win on Saturday night at Churchill Downs. The Kentucky Derby 2010 contenders list has remained stable with the only real shock coming when Eskendereya pulled out earlier in the week. You can bet on the Kentucky Derby Online at BetUs.com and enjoy a special $75 bonus when you deposit $200.

Trainer Todd Plether has four horses running tomorrow night and most of the Kentucky Derby betting will be on his horses. Devil May Care is the only filly in the race when looking at the Kentucky Derby 2010 contenders. John Velazquez will be riding Devil May Care with the withdrawal of Eskendereya. And, Devil May Care managed a huge finish at the Florida Derby.

Ice Box is a 10/1 favorite and has everyone on their toes. The main reason this horse looks so good is he has three races under his belts and he has three wins. Those are pretty good Kentucky Derby betting odds for any Kentucky Derby 2010 contender. So get one last look at the odds and then get ready to place your 2010 Kentucky Derby bets.

Kentucky Derby Betting: Churchill Downs

Kentucky Derby Betting: Churchill Downs

Churchill Downs has been the most talked about sporting venue this week.  Unfortunately for horse racing fans, the course is expected to be wet. The weather for Louisville, Kentucky calls for a 100% chance of thunderstorms at some point during the day on Saturday and heavy rains at race time. The horses will take the track at 6:24 PM Saturday evening. Most of the horses aren’t accustom to difficult conditions regardless of their experience.

Churchill Downs received 2.31 inches of rain in 1918 which was the record amount of rain for this race.  Unfortunately, the call for flash floods has caused concern for everyone. Todd Pletcher, a trainer who has four horses ready to race on Saturday has indicated that he wouldn’t necessarily mind a bit of bad weather. He seems to think his horses stand a good chance with a bit of water looming as the horses ran well at week on a wet track.

Pletcher’s horses will be on everyone’s radar. With a statement as bold as his, Devil May Care, Discreetly Mine, Mission Impazible and Super Saver will have all eyes peeled looking to see what they can do. Front runner, Lookin At Lucky rarely sees a wet track. His trainer Bob Baffert trains his horses in California on a synthetic track. He does have Conveyance in the race who stands a chance to fair better on a messy track which could be the case Saturday at Churchill Downs.

Boxing Odds: Floyd Mayweather Jr vs. Sugar Shane Mosley Betting

Posted by Sean O'Connor

Boxing Odds: Floyd Mayweather Jr vs. Sugar Shane Mosley Betting Preview

Floyd Mayweather (-400) may be Money this Saturday night but he won’t be a Pretty Boy after 12 rounds with Shane Mosley (+275). This welterweight bout is as much about how Money looks as it is about Mosley’s WBA title. With a potential world record breaking clash with Manny Pacquiao in the works, Mayweather will want to match the dominance Pac-Man displayed in his last outing. Unfortunately for Pretty Boy, Sugar Shane is going to leave him with a sour taste after this one.

It is unlikely that Mosley will win but he has played the spoiler role before and that allows him to provide some value in this fight. Sports Interaction are offering Mosley at +550 for a win on points and considering his past record this is definitely worth a look. Twice against Oscar de la Hoya, in 2000 and 2003, Mosley emerged victorious despite the public and sports books backing the Golden Boy. This is a boxer who is accustomed to playing the spoiler role. At 38 Mosley may be past his prime but he has veteran instincts which could allow him to frustrate Mayweather and sneak an upset on points.

The more likely outcome however is that Mayweather will find a way to win to keep the Pacquiao fight alive, although he will find it tough. The -189 price on Mayweather to win on points offers much better value than a straight up bet on Money. Mosley has never been stopped and while that stat is always just one fight away from changing, Mayweather’s record is one of a fighter who carefully works out the surest way to victory. If Money doesn’t see enough openings to go for a knockout he won’t. Instead will settle for a points victory, letting the critics and promoters worry about the post-fight implications of a contest lacking an explosive finish.

That being said never rule out Mayweather’s sense of the psychological aspect of the game. While Manny Pacquiao dominated Joshua Clottey, he failed to finish the fight inside the distance. Pretty Boy knows the kind of hype machine he can create and a stoppage of Mosley would give it enough gas to add a few million more to what he earns against Pac-Man. With that in mind it may be worth looking at the +330 price on Mayweather to win by KO or TKO or on the under 11.5 rounds option which is priced at +275. Either way, bet on Floyd Mayweather to win big with Sports Interaction.

Bet the Fights Online at Sports Interaction and Deposit $100 and Receive $216 in your account.

Quail Hollow Championship Leaderboard: Parker McLachlin

Quail Hollow Championship Leaderboard: Parker McLachlin

Golfers of every age and every skill level dream of making golf their lifetime profession. Very few are able to actually succeed and even those who do, often times find a course that’s just particularly difficult for them. Right now, Parker McLachlin’s 12 on the par-5 seventh hole at the Quail Hollow Championship leaderboard ties the worst score this season. Michael Campbell shot a 12 on the sixth hole at Bay Hill earlier this year.

All courses on the tour tout difficult tee and pin placements and often times that alone is enough to send a golfer to doom. At the Quail Hollow Championship leaderboard, the seventh hole measures 532 yards and water runs along the right side of the fairway.  Generally speaking, that’s a recipe for disaster. Although Parker struggled, the back nine have been much kinder to him.

Other big name golfers are set to hit the course this afternoon. The Quail Hollow Championship leaderboard will feature Fred Couples, Michael Jordan, Phil Mickelson, Davis Love, III and Lee Westwood later this afternoon. By the time these guys make it around to the seventh hole, more golfers could find themselves in trouble as well. Tiger hit the course this morning and thus far, he certainly hasn’t turned in any highlight reels.

Tiger Woods: Quail Hollow Championship 2010

Tiger Woods: Quail Hollow Championship 2010

For many, any news that involves Tiger Woods is old. Fans have grown weary of the Tiger-Tale it seems. However, if you want to talk Tiger Woods and the Quail Hollow Championship, you can probably find some takers. Some things just never grow old.

As it is though, Tiger doesn’t look too wonderful. He has put his balls in the water on the 17th and 18th holes already this morning. That kind of golfing will get you no where except possibly seven shots behind the frontrunners. With that, Phil Mickelson hits the course in about an hour and the world will surely be watching to see if he can handle the Quail Hollow Championship 2010 any better than Tiger has thus far.

The Quail Hollow Championship 2010 is only the second PGA event for Tiger Woods since his horrible off-the-course adventures were made public.. And, in the first go at it, he managed to set a personal record in round one only to lose is grip later in the weekend. Thus far this morning, the Quail Hollow Championship 2010 hasn’t been very kind to the troubled golfer. Hopefully he can at least get his on-the-course act together before moving much further into the season.

American Idol Results: Who Got Kicked Off American Idol April 28

American Idol Voting: Who Got Kicked Off American Idol April 28

The season is winding down and the contestants just keep getting better. This week’s hot question revolves around the American Idol results as to who got kicked off American Idol April 28. With Siobhan receiving the only negative comments on Tuesday night, most felt sure she was headed home. And, then, the final three left standing included the recently saved big Mike and Casey James.

However, after sending Big Mike back to safety for the third week in a row, Ryan stood momentarily to talk to the two contests left. He has been well versed in naming the person leaving or staying each night but last night, Ryan slurred Siobhan’s name a bit as he announced that she was the one. The person who got kicked off American Idol April 28 by most accounts was executed properly when Siobhan Magnus was sent packing.  Her departure was as emotional as any have been thus far though.

Siobhan’s family was in the audience and the recap video of her road to the top of the list was sappy, but Siobhan was surrounded by judges when she made her exit. Her final song wasn’t Shania’s song from Tuesday night but was a more upbeat, bluesy number. If you are wondering who got kicked off American Idol April 28, look no further, Siobhan is gone and the contestant pool just got a bit better.

Kentucky Derby Betting Odds

Kentucky Derby Betting Odds

The world of horse racing has been plagued by injuries this week. With two big name horses out of the race all together, the oddsmakers are putting together a new look at the betting odds. Dean’s Kitten has won three times in a little more than a year and thus far he holds the 35/1 odds to win this weeks great race. Lookin’ at Lucky has definitely moved to the top of the pack with odds of 7/2. Bet the Kentucky Derby Betting Odds Online at BetUS.com and Enjoy $75 Free when you Deposit $200 or more.

Regardless of your horse racing prowess, the betting odds are usually fairly easy to read. Right now, with Eskendereya out with an injury, the Kentucky Derby betting odds are looking better and better for many horses. Sidney’s Candy, Ice Box and Mobile’s Promise could all pull this one out. Horses in the race that appear to be at the bottom of the pack as far as betting goes are Discreetly Mine at 30/1, Backtalk at 60/1 and Line of David at 28/1.

If you are ready to place your bets, you can find information on who looks good to win the Kentucky Derby right now.  But, chances are, the Kentucky Derby betting odds will change at least one more time before the big race. And, with all the injuries reeling through this years contenders, some favorites could still be left in the stable when the big dogs run. Stay tuned for the Run for the Roses on Saturday evening just shy of 6:30 PM.
