| This is a tough scheduling spot for Hawaii. They played a tough game in the heat against USC last Thursday and got beat up pretty good. Now they have to recover from a battle against USC and travel over 4,000 miles on a 12 hour flight to play a 12 Noon ET kickoff when the Hawaii players biological clock in their bodies feel like its 6am. Hawaii also has limited time to prepare for the Triple Option rushing attack of Army who put up over 300 yards of rushing in their opening game. The Giants go with a terrific young arm in Matt Cain, with a 3.18 ERA. He has realy cut down his walks this season, a huge part of his improvement. The Giants are 8-2 his last 10 starts. Jon Garland is an aging arm and the team is 0-2 his last two starts, giving up 6 runs in 11 innings. Back the young ace in this one. Play the Giants. |

| Free Play from Doc’s Sports. #37 Take BYU over Air Force (Saturday 4 pm Versus) The Mountain West Conference opens up on Saturday and this will be the last conference opener for BYU. The Cougars are going independent next year and it will be very interesting to see how they fare in 2010. I expect them to take down Air Force, a team that they beat by 17 points last season. Coach Bronco Mendenhall has never lost to Air Force and BYU has won six straight meetings by an average score of 41-22. The Falcons closest loss during this span was 14 points and I expect another double digit loss on Saturday. Air Force has not handled prosperity well of late going just 1-6 ATS in their last seven games following a straight-up victory by twenty or more points. BYU is 5-2 ATS in their last seven road games.
