NFL betting players will be treated to a massively important game on Sunday night in Baltimore, when the Ravens host the rival Pittsburgh Steelers in a battle to stay in the race for the AFC North.

The Steelers (6-4) were upset 27-24 in overtime at Kansas City, and the loss hurt even more as Ben Roethlisberger suffered a concussion, and Charlie Batch broke his wrist in limited action, meaning that Dennis Dixon could see his first action of the year if Roethlisberger can’t go. Roethlisberger is likely to at least start, and he was in the process of lighting up the Chiefs for 398 yards on 32-of-42 passing, along with three touchdowns and a pair of picks. However, the maligned Pittsburgh special teams gave up a kickoff return to Jamaal Charles to start the game, and the defense gave up 20 points in only 22 minutes, struggling without the injured Troy Polamalu.

The Ravens (5-5) fell 17-15 at home against Indianapolis, failing to take advantage of a young Colts secondary and some uncharacteristic turnovers. Joe Flacco was 23-of-35 for 256 yards and a pick as the Ravens were 0-of-4 in the red zone, and they committed a pair of turnovers as well. Billy Cundiff was their scoring threat with five field goals, but if they want to rise up the NFL betting ranks, the offense will need a spark.

NFL betting odds for this crucial showdown aren’t out yet as the sportsbook linesmakers wait for a definitive answer on Roethlisberger, who practiced on Thursday, but Dixon also took some snaps as well. The Steelers have won six of their last 10 against Baltimore, including three in a row. Last year’s 13-9 win was their first in six trips to Baltimore, and the Ravens would love to avenge that loss. The Steelers’ defense just isn’t the same without Polamalu in the lineup, which means Flacco could have a big day, and with Roethlisberger less than 100%, it’s tough to consider Pittsburgh for an NFL betting win this weekend.
