Their O/U stands at 6-0 in their last 6 games following a win, 5-0 in their last 5 games in Week 6 and vs. AFC, and 8-1 in their last 9 games overall. Furthermore, they are 1-6-1 ATS in their last 8 meetings with the Jets and 0-4 in their last 4 meetings with them in New York. The Jets are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 October games, 5-0 in their last 5 games at home against a team with a winning record on the road, and 3-1-1 in their last 5 games after allowing less than 15 points in the previous game. The Patriots improved to 3-2 after their 19-14 victory over Tampa Bay last week. Brady completed 30 of 40 passes for 303 yards, 1 touchdown, and an interception although they were narrowly outgained 402-409, had less 1st down conversions 23-26, but did outrush Tampa Bay 113-90. The Jets won their game last week as well against the Browns, 17-14 and also improved to 3-2. Josh McCown went 23-for-30 for 194 yards, 2 touchdowns, and an interception although they were outrushed 34-140, outgained 212-419, and had less 1st down conversions 14-22.
Our Free NFL Prediction: The Patriots defense is still a mess, allowing 47 points in their last 2 games which is 10 points more than the Jets have allowed in their last 2 games. Brady, however, has almost always found a way to pull through regardless as the team has been banking on him to win it whereas the Jets could hardly rely on McCown. Sure, he might have had an amazing game last week but that was against the Browns who are 0-5 right now. I’d take Brady and the Patriots to win and cover here.
