The Rams go 7-2 after stomping the Houston Texans last Sunday 33-7 with Jared Goff completing 25 of 37 successful passes for 355 yards and 3 touchdowns. Todd Gurley II made 11 rushes for 68 yards while Robert Woods made 8 catches for 171 yards and 2 of Goff’s 3 touchdown passes. The Vikings also won their last game 38-30 against the Redskins to improve to 7-2 with Case Keenum going 21-29 for 304 yards, 4 touchdowns, and 2 interceptions. Latavius Murray made 17 carries for 68 rushing yards and a score while Adam Thielen made 8 catches for 166 yards and a touchdown.
Our Free NFL Pick: Keenum has definitely shown great form in his last few games and has left a very strong impression on many since picking up the slack for the team. He’s now brought the Vikings to a 5 game win-streak and a real test for him was beating the Redskin’s Kirk Cousins in points which he most definitely managed despite 2 late-game interceptions. Coming into this game will be an even greater test for him however as the Rams are one of the strongest offensive teams in the league right now thanks to Goff and Gurley who dominated their last game as well against Houston. Granted; Houston is missing their star rookie quarterback right now, but don’t let that fool you – the Rams are very real. Minnesota does have a strong rush-defence however, which means it will be interesting to see how Gurley fairs here. I’d honestly say this is a real toss-up and with the small spread, the safer bet might be to take the Rams but I personally think the Vikings will cover.
