Washington falls beneath .500 after losing 38-30 to the Vikings last Sunday, knocking them down to 4-5. Kirk Cousins completed 26 of 45 throws for 327 yards for a score and a pick although they were outgained 406-394 total yards. They did, however, make more 1st down conversions with their 24 to Minnesota’s 21 and had more time on possession with 31:06. The Saints’ win streak continues as they go 7-2 after beating Buffalo 47-10 last Sunday. Drew Brees made 18 of 25 throws for 184 yards while the team outgained the Bills 482-198 total yards, dominated on possession time with 41:23, and also dominated with 32 first downs to the Bills’ 10.
Our Free NFL Pick: Brees might have had a mellow game last Sunday but the Saints themselves were on fire with an amazing run game against a very weak Bills’ defence. Coming into this game, I expect they will be looking to keep their win streak going and dominate here as well despite the Redskins have seen more success against the Saints in their rivalry. Right now, the Redskins are in a bad spot as they have to win this game to keep their playoffs dreams alive which adds a lot of pressure to this game but their defence has been weak while the Saints offence has been strong so I think this is where it ends for them. Take New Orleans to cover.
