The Bears are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 road games, 0-4-1 in their last 5 overall games, 2-5 vs. a team with a losing record, and 6-15 in their last 21 Week 14 games. Their O/U trends are 3-9 in their last 12 games following an ATS loss, 0-4 in their last 4 road games vs. a team with a losing home record, and 1-6 in their last 7 games after scoring less than 15 points in the previous game. They also stand 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 meetings with Cincinnati. The Bengals are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 overall games, 5-1 in their last 6 games following an ATS win, 4-1 in their last 5 games following a loss, and 13-5 vs. a team with a losing record. Their O/U trends are 5-16 in their last 21 games following an ATS win, 5-2 in their last 7 overall games, 2-5 in their last 7 December games, and 4-9 in their last 13 games on field-turf.
The Bears fall t 3-9 after losing 15-14 to the San Francisco 49ers last Sunday after Mitchell Trubisky completed 12 of 15 throws for 102 yards for a touchdown. They were outgained 388-141 total yards and had less 1st downs with only 8 conversions to the 49ers 23 but they did win the turnover battle 1-0. The Bengals also lost their last game 23-20 to the Steelers and fall to 5-7 in an ugly and brutal game where Andy Dalton went 21-36 for 234 yards and 2 scores. They were outgained 374-353 total yards and had less 1st downs with 19 conversions to the Steelers’ 24 but they won the turnover battle 1-0.
Our Free NFL Prediction: Both of these teams are pretty banged up with injuries coming into this game; the Bengals have 3 injured linebackers with the most notable one, Vontaze Burfict, highly unlikely to make an appearance here after taking an illegal hit from JuJu Smith-Schuster against the Steelers. On the other side, the Bears have 3 injured safety and kicker Cairos Santos has moved to IR with a groin injury. Although they signed Mike Nugent in place of Santos, they will also be missing Kyle Long, their guard due to a shoulder injury. Both teams’ defenses will definitely be weaker here and as a result, their offense will look stronger. Me personally? I prefer Dalton over Trubisky in this match-up that will come down to the offense. Namely, because Dalton has more experience overall and if he can bring the fire he brought last Sunday against the Steelers, they should win here without too many issues. I’d take Bengals to cover.
