Their O/U trends are 0-4 in their last 4 home games, 1-4 in their last 5 Week 14 games, 8-3 in their last 11 games on the grass, 6-14 in their last 20 games following an ATS win, and 3-11 in their last 14 games vs. a team with a winning record.
The Eagles take their second loss of the season after losing 24-10 to Seattle last Sunday night with Carson Wentz going 29-45 for 348 yards, a score, and a pick. Jay Ajayi led the rushing with 9 carries for 35 yards while Nelson Agholor led the receivers with 7 catches for 141 yards and a touchdown. On the other side, the Rams won their last game 32-16 over the Cardinals and improved to 9-3 with Jared Goff completing 21 of 31 passes for 220 yards, 2 touchdowns, and a pick. Todd Gurley II led the rushing with 19 carries for 74 yards and the receivers with 6 catches for 84 yards as well.
Our Free NFL Prediction: TE Zach Ertz entered concussion protocol Sunday night during the game with Seattle and isn’t likely to play in this game which is a blow for Wentz and the Eagles as Ertz was the leading receiver for them. This means Alshon Jeffery and Agholor will be definitely seeing more connections in this game for sure if the Eagles are to secure points in this high-profile game. Save for Ertz, the Eagles are still very healthy for this game, unlike the Rams. LB Alec Ogletree is coping with an elbow injury but head coach Sean McVay said he’s expected to play in the game. Robert Woods, the leading wide receiver is also questionable for the game along with RB Malcolm Brown and LB Connor Barwin, leaving the Rams defense in a bit of a worrying state. On the other side, the Eagles defense has been steadily improving – as have Goff – but it will be interesting to see how the Rams, Gurley, and Goff tackle it. I still feel however as if the edge here lies with the Eagles when considering the Rams’ defense and now, more than ever, they need to win here to stave off the Saints in the NFC race. I’d take the Eagles.
